Not Raw Fish is my personal blog about Japan. I write about travel, food, culture, language, and whatever else I have an opinion on. One person, one blog.
What I write
Places I think are worth your time, food I would happily queue for, how things actually work on the ground, and what is useful to know before you go. Expect opinions. I will tell you when I think something is overrated.
Who runs this
I own, write, and pay for this blog myself. There is no company, investor, or team behind it. If you see “we” anywhere, it is just me.
I have a full-time job that needs my full attention. This blog is strictly for fun in my free time away from work. If articles are slow, I am busy with work and personal life.
How posts get made
All article ideas are my own, based on my views, experiences and travel of Japan.
I sometimes use AI to draft but I read, check, and rewrite every post before it goes live, and I decide what gets published. If something is wrong, that is on me.
Nobody pays me for an opinion. If a post has affiliate links or anything sponsored, I will say so on that post.
